Whispers from a Tree

In Whispers from a Tree, Simich prepares and prints leaves from the Ginkgo Biloba tree to create a series of monotype prints. Through ritualized inking and layering, she builds compositions over time. These layers represent memory and spirit, revealing motifs, inter-cultural stories, and biological cycles. Each embossed mark captures the paradox of transience and longevity, highlighting connections between past and present.
