Having it all all all
An exhibition of select video and performance art by artists associated with second-wave Feminism in America and Europe.
Having it all all all is an exhibition of select video and performance art by international artists associated with the activism and identity politics of second-wave Feminism and its legacies. Featuring seminal works from the 1960s to 1990s, the exhibition brings together key figures whose work has been pivotal in a re-evaluation of female subjectivity in art.
At a time when the autonomy of women’s bodies continues to be debated and co-opted as a tool for oppressive political agendas, we hope to probe consideration into these topics through a reflection of key artists and works that contribute to a dialogue of reclamation and empowerment through an intersectional Feminist lens.
Featuring seminal works by Ana Mendieta (Cuba/USA), Howardena Pindell (USA), Pipilotti Rist (Switzerland), Martha Rosler (USA), Christa Schadt (Canada), Janice Tanaka (USA), Hannah Wilke (USA), Nil Yalter (Turkey) and more.
Accompanying the exhibition, Gus Fisher Gallery will deliver a dynamic and free public programme including bespoke performances, practical workshops and panel discussions. |
